How to add to your phone calendar:
For iOS Users (iPhone or iPad)
Method 1 (Recommended Method)
1. Copy the Link URL:
• Long-press (tap and hold) on the link until a menu pops up.
• Select “Copy” or “Copy Link” from the options. This saves the URL to your clipboard.
2. Add the Subscription to Calendar:
• Open the Calendar app on your iOS device.
• Tap the Calendars button at the bottom of the screen (it will either look like a list icon or like a calendar).
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Add Calendar > Add Subscription Calendar.
• In the “Subscription URL” field, long-press and select Paste to insert the copied URL.
• Tap Subscribe. iOS will verify the URL and add the calendar.
• Optionally, customize the name, color, or alerts, then tap Done.
Method 2 (This is not the recommended method): If tapping the link opens it directly in the Calendar app (rather than prompting you to copy it), simply confirm the subscription right there. This will add the individual calendar entries, but they most likely won’t update automatically if changes are made to the source—some users report inconsistent syncing with this approach. Keep in mind that subscribed calendars remain read-only and can’t be edited.
For Android Users (Phones or Tablets)
Android devices vary by manufacturer, but these steps use Google Calendar, which is free and available on the Play Store. If you use a different calendar app (like Samsung Calendar), the process is similar but might have slight differences.
Method 1 (Recommended Method)
1. Copy the Link URL:
• Long-press (tap and hold) on the link until a menu appears.
• Choose “Copy link address” or “Copy link” from the menu. This copies the URL to your clipboard.
2. Add the Subscription to Calendar:
• Open the Google Calendar app.
• Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner.
• Scroll down and select Settings.
• Under the account you want to add it to (e.g., your Google account), tap Add another account > Subscribe to new calendar (or directly tap Add calendar > From URL in some versions).
• In the “URL of calendar” field, long-press and select Paste to insert the copied URL.
• Tap Add or Subscribe. Google Calendar will validate the URL and import the events.
• The new calendar will appear in your list; you can toggle it on/off or change its color in Settings.
Method 2 (This is not the recommended method): If tapping the link directly prompts to open in Google Calendar, you can subscribe that way without copying. Subscribed calendars update periodically (this is not always the case), but edits must be made at the source.
