helter-skelter

1) So Avril Lavigne was on SNL this past Saturday with her, 'I'm in my 40's, but I dressed like an Emo kid' band. What a bad idea. (not posting a link to the video, as it was just that bad)

2) Need a windows xp key? Just google: "Windows XP Professional" "Belarc Advisor Current Profile" key: Belarc is one of my favorite programs, but who came up with the idea of posting their keys online?

3) Fast Food: Ads vs. Reality Oh so true.

4) Charcoal Starter I picked one up the other day at Schnucks for around $10. In one word: Amazing.

I need more sleep.

Vonage, a little too easy

As I arrived home from work today I was greeted with a package on my front stoop. My D-Link Vonage device arrived in the mail. I call it a device as I'm not really sure what it is classified as. Setting aside a good hour of my time, I was eager to dive in to this new unfamiliar technology. 45 seconds later....the install was complete and I had a dial tone. Could it really be this easy? I then thought, what about getting the other phones in the house hooked up with this service. After unplugging the cord connected to my phone, I plugged it into a phone outlet on my wall (after disconnecting the phone line outside of my house). All the phones in my house magically worked with no issues. Total time spent: 3 mins 45 seconds. Could VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) really be this easy? I guess so.

Also have to note that the phone clarity and quality is excellent.

Verizon home phone service: $40 a month (w/o long distance)
Vonage home phone service $14.99 a month (w/ long distance)
$25.01 savings a month ($300.12 a year and $1,500.06 after five years)

See ya Verizon home phone line.
